Medical Cannabis Awareness month 3.0 - Sept. 11 - Oct.10

   This year, ACCM sponsors the public observance of Medical Cannabis Awareness Month. Making it the only medical-cannabis public health observance in our country. During Medical Cannabis Awareness Month, the general public, physicians, healthcare industry, and legislators learn our them and programming for the upcoming year. Additionally, we provide access to the the state of medical cannabis. Industry, leaders, provide information about public education in an effort to dispel myths and advocate for change in federal policy.

 
 Medical Cannabis Awareness Month is observed each year during a selected month as commemoration of the many advances from throughout the year, and what the future might look like with a change of federal status.  We believe that these federal changes will bring about significant breakthroughs.
 
 This year the MCA campaign will provide an ideal opportunity to set the tone for the next year, educate and provide public outreach about the potential of medical cannabis and why an appropriate federal law needs to be enacted. MCA program has everything needed from ready-to-use press releases and media tips sheets to printable actions, articles, reports, industry resources logos, and more  All mad accessible throughout the year on a multitude of forums..

 This year's MCA campaign, “Mainstream Medical Cannabis,” works to educate everyone about the important actions underway connecting medical cannabis to mainstream health and wellness. Currently we are providing access to insurance and healthcare providers to our industry.

With our work being done to compliment HHS efforts with the DEA to have medical cannabis be federally recognized and open expanded research and access for millions of patients, through a change in federal status. This year's objective is to see success on the federal level prior to the 2024 elections.   

  This program is formally announced in May each year, and all programming and supporting materials are available available to the industry starting are available prior to start of the month.
